Refunds & cancellation

Cancelling a plan

Options → Plans → Manage plan opens Stripe’s billing portal, where you can cancel, change your plan or update your card. A cancelled plan keeps working until the end of the month you paid for, then stops; it does not renew. You are not charged again.

Switching plans: moving up to a larger plan applies at once, and the difference for the rest of the month is charged then. Moving down to a smaller plan costs nothing now: you keep the plan you have until the end of the month you paid for, and the smaller plan starts with your next month.

Refunds

If you live in the EU or the UK

You have 14 days from the day you subscribe to a plan or buy a top-up to change your mind (your right to withdraw). Because your minutes are available at once, checkout asks you to tick that you want the service to start straight away. If you then withdraw within the 14 days — write to contact@languageapp.ai — we refund what you paid, less the share for the minutes you have already used; once all of a purchase’s minutes are used, there is nothing left to refund. This is on top of the refunds above and of any other right the law where you live gives you.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account (Options → Account) stops any plan at once, without a refund for the rest of its month, and deletes your remaining minutes with everything else. If you live in the EU or the UK and are still within your 14 days, write to us before you delete it, so that we can refund you.

A payment that fails

If a renewal payment fails, your plan’s minutes pause and the app asks you to update your card (Options → Plans → Update card). Stripe, our payment provider, emails you and tries the card again over the following weeks. If none of the tries goes through, the plan ends and nothing more is charged.

Disputes

Please write to us before disputing a charge with your bank — we answer quickly. A disputed top-up’s minutes are taken back. A dispute over a plan’s payment does not end the plan by itself, but we may cancel a plan whose payment is disputed.
